Nana Yaa Jantuah resigns

Even though she gave no reason for her resignation it is suspected that she is taking this step after she and the Executive Secretary of the PURC have been accused of financial malfeasance at the Commission.

This was contained in a memo addressed to the Executive Secretary, Samuel Sarpong.

According to Accra-based Joy FM, the resignation is expected to take effect on November 17, 2017.

However, Nana Yaa Jantuah has applied for her accruable leave beginning June 4, 2017, prior to her resignation in November.

Nana Yaa Jantuah and Samuel Sarpong are under investigation by the BNI after they were accused of corruption.

Their passports have also been seized to prevent them from travelling outside the country during the investigation.

Nana Yaa Jantuah has been working at the Commission for the past 13 years.
