Mohammed Sani's comment comes at the back of former deputy chief of staff, Dr Valerie Sawyerr, who has castigated Rawlings, for labelling fellow former presidents, Kufuor and Mahama as corrupt.

She began by wondering whether Rawlings’ tenure was free of corrupt practices. She went on to wonder when that of the current president passes the litmus test of corruption.

Her appointing Government failed in the rigging agenda despite all the attempts by the Commission to narrow the election to a two-party race to facilitate easy rigging for the incumbent adding that "She has, either on her own or at the instance of her mentor, been trying to recycle herself as a neutral Electoral Commissioner after her Church Papa mediated her peaceful announcement of the election results."
