Herbert Mensah open to becoming FA president in future

The former Kotoko board chairman says he would return to the sport if the right systems are put in place.

The administrator and businessman has seen his name linked to the FA top job in recent months following remarks by current GFA president KwesiNyantakyi that he will step down after 2019.

Mensah, who currently serves as the president of the Ghana Rugby Association, has been touted as a possible successor to Nyantakyi come 2019.

However, speaking on the development, the former Kotoko chairman refused to state whether or not he will contest for the FA presidency in 2019, but was quick to add that he could consider it if the right systems are in place.

According to him, “if the systems are really ready to deal with someone of radical thought”, then is open to becoming FA president in the near future. “I have a track record in terms of managing people, in terms of dealing with global capital and seeking change without compromising certain value systems, the answer is not always yes,” he told Joy News.

Herbert Addo enjoyed a very productive stint as Board Chairman of Kokoto, helping the club to gain stability.
