Andre Ayew powers West Ham United to victory

The Ghana international came off the bench to score for the Hammers in 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town

The first half of the game ended without a goal, but West Ham returned from the half time break and exerted much pressure on the visitors.

Pedro Obiang started the scoring when his ball deflected the body of a Huddersfield player into the net in the 72 minute.

Before Andre Ayew who came on from the bench for Javier Hernandez in the 64 minute pounced on a loose ball to give the Hammers their 2nd goal in the 79th minute in what stood as the match winner.

The win has given West Ham United their first victory of the 2017-18 season, after having gone through a torrid time of losing the first three games of the season.

Slaven Bilic must be a happy man since the victory would definitely buy time for him, since his job was on the line after failing to churn out the results in all his first three games.
