Atsu's Newcastle mesmerize Andre's West Ham, Jordan Ayew impresses for Swansea

In this week’s fixtures, we had two games which had Ghanaians square off against each other. The other fixture with Ghanaian interest had the team come against in-form Manchester United.

In one of them we had Jordan Ayew’s Swansea City come up against Jeffery Schlupp’s Crystal Palace.

Jordan Ayew played the full 90 minutes and scored in the 48th to have Swansea City win by 2-0. Jeff Schlupp was unused substitute in that game.

Andre Ayew at the St James’ Park went up against Christian Atsu in the game between Newcastle United and West Ham United. After years of being in and out of various clubs after leaving FC Porto in 2014 seems to have found a permanent starting spot at the club based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Atsu played 90 minutes and assisted new signing Joselu to score in the 36th minute and Newcastle went on to beat West Ham United by 3-0. Andre Ayew played a part in this game as he started and was substituted in the 70th minute.

After those run of matches in the afternoon on Saturday the 26th of August gave way to the evening fixture which featured Daniel Amartey’s Leicester City going up against Manchester United. Daniel Amartey sat on the bench to watch Manchester United beat his side 2-0 at Old Trafford.
