Asamoah Gyan rescued his teammates from arriving late in their clubs by paying for chartered flight for the Black Stars from Brazzaville to Accra.
Ghana hammered Congo 1-5 on Tuesday in Brazzaville on match day four of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
However, reports emerged that government declined arrange for a chartered flight to ensure they arrive in Accra on time and leave to their various European clubs after the international break.
And Asamoah Gyan, the skipper of the side stepped in to foot the bill to ensure his teammates were flown via a private jet to Accra.
The 31-year-old missed the Congo clash in Brazzaville, when Ghana secured 1-5 emphatic victory due a groin injury he picked in Kumasi, yet he made an impact by contributing to the joy of the team when they needed some one to come to their rescue by getting a chartered flight to jet them to Accra.
This is a big plus for Gyan after he came under severe criticisms when he failed to glitter in Ghana's 1-1 draw in Kumasi.
