Jon Benjamin congratulates Christian Atsu after first EPL goal

The UK Diplomat has congratulated the Ghana winger after his debut EPL goal.

Outgoing UK ambassador to Ghana Jon Benjamin has commended Christian Atsu following his debut goal in the English Premier League.

The Ghana international recorded his first goal on English soil after opening the scoring in Newcastle United's 2-1 win over Stoke City last Saturday.

The 25-year-old reacted quickest to a cross from the right wing to slot home past Lee Grant from close range.

And the former Porto winger has been congratulated by outgoing UK high commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin.

Jon Benjamin wrote: "Congratulations and Ayekoo to my friend @ChristianAtsu20 on his first EPL goal for @NUFC yesterday."

Atsu has so far played in all five league games of Newcastle United this season, and will be hoping to continue with his early season form.
