The 28-year-old rejoined the Swans on deadline day in a club record £18 million move from West Ham United, putting pen to paper on a three-and-half year deal.

Andre Ayew previously spent a season with the Liberty stadium outfit, before joining the Hammers in the 2015/16 season.

The Ghana international insists he is delighted to have rejoined Swansea and is looking forward to helping the club survive relegation.

“I am very happy to be back,” Ayew told the club’s official website.

“Things have changed at the club, but the faces are still the same and I am happy to see everyone. Now I need to do the job.

“What’s important is that we keep the club up.

“The club have shown a lot of trust in me and a lot of determination to bring me in. “Now I need to give back to them on the field. My goal and my challenge is to do everything possible to help the club stay up – the same as it is for all the players and the staff.

“That’s what I am here for and I will do everything I can to make sure it happens.”

Swansea currently lie in 19th position on the Premier League table and manager Carlos Carvalhal will be hoping that the addition of the former Marseille star will work the magic for his side.
