The Chief of Boso, in the Asuogyaman constituency, Osabarima Agyeman Boasia II, has assured the 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, of his total and unflinching support in the run-up to this yearâs general elections.
Praying for Godâs blessings for the NPP flagbearer, Osabarima Agyeman Boasia II, explained that Ghana finds herself in severe pain, and is in dire need of a âJoshuaâ to take her to the âPromised Land.â
âGhana is in pain. When Moses died, God chose Joshua and told him âBe strong and courageousâ. These were the two words God told Joshua. It is these same words I am also telling Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, so he can lead us through the Red Sea to the Promised Land,â he said.
âI would have wished you had come here during the day to see the deplorable nature in which the town roads of Boso are. The young people of Boso need jobs, Boso needs progress, Boso needs development. We need an agro-based industry here in Boso, so we halt the migration of our young men and women who seek greener pastures in the so-called big cities,â he added.
Commending the NPP flagbearer for his bold vision for the country, Osabarima Agyeman Boasia II indicated that âI am in full support of Nana Akufo-Addo and I ask for Godâs blessings for him.â
The Chief of Boso made this known when the NPP flagbearer paid a courtesy call on him at his palace on Friday, July 1, 2016, as he campaigned in the Asuogyaman constituency, on day 3 of his 5-day tour of the Eastern Region.
Flanked by the NPPâs parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Kwame Adu Darkwa, as well as the sitting MP for the constituency, Hon. Kofi Osei Ameyaw, Nana Akufo-Addo thanked Osabarima Agyeman Boasia II for his words of encouragement and support, assuring him that victory for him in this yearâs elections would mean an improvement in the living conditions of every Ghanaian.
Later that evening, Nana Akufo-Addo also addressed residents of Anum, also in the Asuogyaman constituency, urging them to repose their confidence in the NPP in this yearâs elections, as well as ensure that the NPPâs parliamentary candidate for the constituency retains the seat for the party.
The NPP presidential candidate, wondering why President Mahama was desperate for a 2nd term in office, asked the gathering if the President wanted to impose further hardship and suffering on the people, hence his desire for another 4 years in office.
âAnother 4 years of Mahama will be disastrous for this country. Is he coming to continue to bring poverty to Ghanaians? Is he coming to increase the unemployment rate? Today, businesses are collapsing and business owners are suffering. Is this what he wants to come and continue?â Nana Akufo-Addo asked.
He therefore urged the hundreds gathered at the Anum taxi/trotro terminal to use their âthumbs to change Mahama, and, thereby, change Ghana so we can bring jobs to Ghanaians.â
Nana Akufo-Addo further added that the NPP has fashioned out well-thought out policies and plans for the forward-movement of Ghana, âas well as a plethora of experienced and brilliant men and women who can give Ghana a 1st class government.â
