A member of music group,
âNowadays, lyrics in songs donât add up. Songs nowadays lack great lyrical dexterity. Weâve lost originality. Consider a lyrics like âgirl na pozzy sÉ yooyiâ, Iâve never seen a lady who has posed like "yooyi" before. So nowadays, lyrics in songs donât add up anymore,â Tinny said in an interview with Flexy on ETV Ghanaâs Talk Showbiz in 2013.
The voice was played back on Pluzz FMâs AM Pluzz on Tuesday morning and set the premise for a discussion. Reacting to the comments, Josuah, the wordsmith of the group questioned why Tinny would make such a statement.
According to him, âMakola Kwakweâ, the song which shot Tinny to fame did not make sense either, adding that Tinnyâs brand is dead.
âWhat was the sense in Tinnyâs âMakola Kwakweâ song? The lyrics donât even make sense. I love Tinny to the bone, he was one of the people I really admired whilst growing up... Tinnyâs brand is even dead⌠We did not reply Tinny then because our âAluguntuguiâ song was just fresh,â he fired back.
