Appiah has been in charge of the Sudanese club since 2014, leading them to fourth and fifth places respectively in his first two years.

However, the 56-year-old is set to return as Ghana coach following an announcement by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) last week.

And his departure from Al Khartoum was marked with a memorable farewell by the players of the club.
