Romantic comedy? Check. Screwball humor a la Parks and Recreation? Check. Jokes about out-of-touch rich people like Arrested Development? Check. 3) GLOW (2017- Present) There have been three seasons that have aired so far of GLOW, which stands for the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. Based on a real weekend morning wrestling league that aired in the '80s, this show stars Allison Brie and Betty Gilpin as two aspiring actresses who join the promotion, and comedian Marc Maron as the low-grade director who controls the series. This show is funny, but also always brings a lot of heartthe characters are great, and those three main actors always bring 100%. This one is a very binge-able comedy. 4) Billy On The Street (2011- Present) If you're looking for a show that you can watch 8-10 episodes in a row without even realizing where the time has gone, the answer is easily Billy on the Street. Editing together from various clips of his show that has existed in different formats through the years, the Netflix version of Billy on the Street follows comedian Billy Eichner as he galavants around the streets of New York City, asking random people questions, looking for quick answers. 5) Easy (2016-2019) Easy probably won't make you laugh out loud too much, but its tonal lightness and various romantic comedy stories should make you feel good nonetheless. Each episode of Easy follows a standalone comedic story, and some of these stories continue from season to season. In a way, this starts to feel like a series of short, indie comedy films. If you're into movies like Little Miss Sunshine, or Juno, to name a few of the more mainstream selections, this might be a series for you. With stars like Marc Maron, Aubrey Plaza, Dave Franco, Aya Cash, and more, there are enough recognizable faces and whimsical situations to make this a very worthwhile watch. 8) Happy! (2018-2019) There's a good chance you missed Happy! when it was originally airing; that's because it was on the SyFy network, not exactly where people are turning for prestige television. But Happy! might just be the darkest show on this listwith moments of humor that will still make you laugh. Christopher Melonibest known for his role on Law and Order S.V.U. but also a comedy wunderkind in Wet Hot American Summerplays an ex-cop-turned-hitman having an issuehe's envisioning his kidnapped daughter's imaginary friend, a flying blue unicorn (voiced by Patton Oswalt). This show is hyper-violent and super over-the-top, which might be exactly what some people are looking for. Bonus? It's only two seasons long, so you can watch the whole thing pretty quickly. Stream Happy! Here See the original post on Youtube SYFY@Youtube
9) Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later (2017) Netflix has done the fans of Wet Hot American Summer, the cult classic (and hysterically funny) 2001 film well. Fans of that movie were begging for a follow-up, and the streaming giant gave them not one, but two limited series. The first was Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, a prequel that somehow had the actors all 16 years older, and the second was Ten Years Later, which sees the over-the-top comedy return to the camp location a decade later. With the very funny castincluding Paul Rudd, Ken Marino, Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Michael Ian Black, among others, all involved, the two Wet Hot series are a fantastic watch for some zany humor (and you've gotta watch the movie, too). 10) Russian Doll (2019-Present) Think Groundhog Day, but with a quirky, weird New York City setting and the effervescent personality of Natasha Lyonne (American Pie) leading the way. This is one of the more addicting Netflix originals of the last few years, and with the high-concept story hookthe same thing happening every day!it's easy to binge in fairly short order. A second season is coming soon, but in the meantime you'll just have to settle for what's basically a perfect debut. Get ready to hear some great songs (over and over and over again) too. Stream Russian Doll Here See the original post on Youtube Netflix@Youtube
11) The Last O.G. (2018- Present) It's no secret that Tracy Morgan probably doesn't have an Academy Award in his future. He's probably not the person you think of when you hear the phrase "acting range." But what he is, instead, is incredibly funnywhich is why his series The Last O.G. (produced by Jordan Peele) is such a comforting watch. The premise is simple enough: a Brooklyn man (Morgan) who went to jail for 15 years returns to his home neighborhood to find the gentrified Brooklyn of today. For bonus laughs, his ex- is played by comedy superstar Tiffany Haddish, and Cedric the Entertainer is also on board. You know what you're getting with this one, and it's pretty damn funny. 12) I Think You Should Leave (2019- ?) If you're looking for some of the weirdest, most surreal laughs on Netflix in bite-sized nuggets (each episode is around 12-15 minutes) don't skip out on Tim Robinson's sketch comedy show I Think You Should Leave, which came out last year and quickly developed a cult following. A lot of these skits are just so bizarre that you can't help but laugh hysterically while trying to figure out what exactly is transpiring in front of you. It's best going in basically blind, other than that. Stream I Think You Should Leave Here See the original post on Youtube Netflix Is A Joke@Youtube
13) Cheers (1982-1993) We needed one old comfort watch on here, right? Since Friends is no longer on Netflix, the best bet for that has got to be Cheers, which has all 252 episodes of its legendary run available. The Boston bar-set show is an absolute classic, and of course launched the careers of some of your favorite people, like Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson. This is one of the all-time classic sitcoms, and it holds up astonishingly well for a show that's between 27 and 38 years old. Stream Cheers Here See the original post on Youtube techguru101a@Youtube
14) American Vandal (2017-2018) Building on the popularity of True Crime documentaries like Making a Murderer, The Jinx, and Serial, American Vandal is a comedy series that's an incredibly loyal-to-form spoof, incredibly funny, and also super compelling in its own way. You won't believe how eager you become wanting to figure out who drew the dicks in the first season, or who the "turd burglar" is in the second season. Unfortunately, Netflix pulled the plug on this series after just two years, but we'll always have those two magical seasons. Stream American Vandal Here See the original post on Youtube Netflix@Youtube
15) Documentary Now! (2015-Present) Documentary Now! is basically a passion project by some of the funniest people around: Seth Meyers, Bill Hader, and Fred Armisen. The series focuses on the three of them, along with a number of their similarly-funny friends, making short film spoofs of famous documentaries. A couple highlights? One first season episode expertly spoofs the style of a VICE documentary with a company instead called DRONEZ, with a Shane Smith-esque figure played by Jack Black. Another is a direct spoof of the famous Grey Gardens documentary. A later season episode spoofs Wild, Wild Country, with Owen Wilson playing the cult leader figure. Convinced? Check it out. 16) I'm Sorry (2017-Present) If you like the awkward situations that Larry David gets into in Curb Your Enthusiasm, you'll love everything about I'm Sorry, a super underrated sitcom that airs on TruTV and stars the very funny Andrea Savage. Savage has been a comedy mainstay for more than two decades at this point (you might recognize her from her memorable roles in Step Brothers or Veep), and here she plays a comedian probably partially influenced by herself who isn't particularly out there or abnormal, but just constantly finds herself in bizarre, funny situations. It's a lot of family humorher husband and daughter make for a lot of the jokesand should have you cracking up multiple times per episode. Stream I'm Sorry Here See the original post on Youtube truTV@Youtube
17) The Good Place (2016-2020) The second show on this list to feature Ted Danson! The Good Place wrapped its 4-season run up earlier this year, but being from Michael Schur (The Office, Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) you know its some good stuff. In fact, The Good Place is a higher-concept series than any of those shows, centering on a group of people in the afterlife. Kristen Bell joins Danson in the cast, along with William Jackson Harper, Manny Jacinto, and the hilarious D'Arcy Carden. The Good Place is a rare show that's both very funny, and very plot-driven. Each episode is presented as a chapter in the story, and you'll be eager to watch the next episode not only to get a whole bundle of laughs, but to see what happens next. Also, you'll want to see Ted Danson's marvelous bow tie collection. Stream The Good Place Here See the original post on Youtube We Got This Covered@Youtube
18) Arrested Development (2003 - Present) If you like Jason Bateman at his darkest in Ozark or The Outsider , we've got to encourage that you check him out in Arrested Development, the incredibly funny (and now long-running) show that re-launched his career back in 2003. As the anchor of an extraordinarily dysfunctional family, Bateman plays the leader of the Bluth family, a family filled with fuck-ups and wacky characters. This show is responsible for many of the jokes you probably encounter on the internet every day ("Her?") and if you haven't seen it yet, you have no idea what a comedy journey you're in for. Stream Arrested Development Here See the original post on Youtube Stuart McNair@Youtube
19) Parks and Recreation (2009-2015) OK, so you've probably seen this one before. But every episode of Parks and Recreation is on Netflix. Every. Episode. If there's one show that makes you feel warm and good (and will make you laugh a whole lot), it's this one. So even if you've seen Parks and Recreation before (or twice before, or six times before), it's worth watching again. Or, at the very least, dropping in on a couple of your favorite episodes here and there. It's comforting to know that Leslie Knope, Ron Swanson , and the rest of the gang are always going to be there for you. Stream Parks and Recreation Here See the original post on Youtube Universal Pictures Home Entertainment@Youtube
20) BoJack Horseman (2014-2020) BoJack Horseman is an animated series, but it's also probably the heaviest show on this list. Wrapping up its run earlier this year, the show focuses on the ups and downs of a horse/actor (stick with us) who battles depression and substance abuse in his life following sitcom fame in the '80s and '90s. The show is incredibly funny and pointed in its commentaries about mental health; this show is chicken soup for the soul in a lot of ways. Will Arnett voices the titular horse/actor, while Aaron Paul, Paul F. Tompkins, Allison Brie, and Amy Sedaris are among other members of the regular voice cast.
