Monday night, on part one of The Bachelor finale , Peter Weber's mom Barbara made her opinion clear when it comes to who her son should pick as his copilot for life. And now, leading up to part two, she's not backing downeven in the face of backlash from fans on social media.
ICYMI, Barbara has been the talk of Bachelor Nation ever since the tearful clip of her saying, "Bring her home to us!" debuted in the first season 24 preview. For months, fans were dying to know who Peter's mom has been crying about , and it turns out, that was Hannah Ann Sluss . Between the two remaining contestants, Hannah Ann and Madison Prewett , Babs preferred "angel on Earth" Hannah Ann by a long shot, saying she didn't want Madison's no-sex-before-marriage decision to change her son.
"I dont want anyone to change him, because he is who he is and we love him the way he is," Barbara told Madison during the meet-the-parents date. "I respect you for your values, and if I didnt want to go to the fantasy suite because I was you, I understand that. But to tell someone else, when there are other girls that he has very strong feelings for, whether he wants to get physical with them or emotional, thats up to him."
As a result, Barbara received significant backlash last night and throughout the day on social media, with a hundred or so Bachelor fans leaving negative comments on her most recent Instagram post.

They accused her of interfering and manipulating Peter, among other things. One fan, however, defended Babs, asking the others to leave her alone. "Can people please leave her alone! Barb, I think you did the right thing," the Instagram user wrote.
Barbara replied, "Thanks but I ignore all negatives!!" meaning she's staying totally cool through the controversy. Meanwhile, she's picked up about 35,000 Instagram followers, so this probably isn't the last Bachelor Nation will be hearing from Mrs. Weber.
