Sony is bringing cloud gaming service Playstation Now to the Playstation 3, more than a year after it was announced.

The rental plus subscription service will become available on Sony’s older console from May 12, and will give people who haven’t yet signed up a 7-day free trial.

The service first launched earlier this year on the PlayStation 4, three years after Sony paid video game streaming specialists Gaikai $380 million to develop the technology to power it.

In addition to PS4 and PS3, the service is also available on PlayStation Vita, Playstation TV, and certain Sony televisions and blu-ray players. A deal with Samsung will see it featured on selected smart TVs built by the Korean Manufacturer this year too.

PlayStation Now offers users access to a library for a monthly price of $19.99, and also allows specific games to be rented from a wider list of one-off payments.
