The Los Angeles Kings blew their chance to move back into first place in the NHL Pacific Division after falling to a 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 on Monday.
The Kings took an early lead via Tyler Toffoli, who scored his 30th goal of the season, and would hit the front again thanks to Kyle Clifford's second-period goal, but on both occasions they failed to hold their advantage.
Emerson Etem of the Canucks levelled the game at 1-1 at the end of the first period, before Jannik Hansen and Jared McCann made it 3-2 in Vancouver's favour.
The win was just the Canucks' 29th of the season as they languish in second from bottom in the Western Conference, and the Kings will be ruing their missed opportunity to usurp the Anaheim Ducks.

Meanwhile, the New York Rangers qualified for their sixth straight play-offs courtesy of a 4-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Chris Kreider, Dan Boyle, Mats Zuccarello and Derek Stepan scored the all-important goals for the Rangers, who sit third in the Metropolitan division.
It came at a cost though as captain Ryan McDonagh was forced off the ice through injury and his status ahead of the Tampa Bay Lightning game on Tuesday remains unknown.
The Lightning, without star Steven Stamkos, went down in New York, losing 5-2 to the Islanders in a crucial win for the home side's post-season hopes.
Elsewhere, the Florida Panthers won their 45th game of the season with a 4-3 triumph over the Toronto Maple Leafs, while the St Louis Blues crushed the Arizona Coyotes 5-2.
