Indias High Commissioner to Ghana Birender Singh Yadev is looking forward to the Black Starlets playing well at the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
His Excellency Yadev was speaking to Kwese TV in an exclusive interview ahead of the youth world championship in India.
Ghana have coincidentally been grouped with Colombia, USA and India in the 2017 in Group A.
The High Commissioner to India first gave his advice to the Ghanaian team on how they should spend their time in India.
“I think they should focus on football because they are going primarily to participate in a football competition. Also, Delhi is a very historic city so they could visit any of the historic sites and should also do the shopping.
“They could as well bring gifts for family and friends.”

His Excellency Birender Singh Yadev was asked if he supported Ghana to win the World Cup and he responded in the most amusing way.
“I back Ghana and India to make the finals and let the better team win.
“My first allegiance will be with India but we know Ghana is a very good team so we will also be happy to see Ghana try to lift the World Cup. Just like they did in 1991 when it was hosted in Italy.
“India being the host will also have an urge and we believe in our team.”
Ghana and India will play their last group game against India against each other on October 12, 2017.
