Huddersfield step up chase for Agyemang Badu

Newly-promoted English Premier League side Huddersfield Town are closing in on a deal to sign Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu.

The Ghana midfielder is reportedly a target of some Premiership clubs, including Stoke City and West Ham United.

However, reports circulating in the local media suggest that Huddersfield Town have moved ahead of their competitors to sign the combative midfielder.

Badu has always spoken of his desire to play in the English topflight, and might be tempted by the offer from the newly-promoted side.

The 25-year-old joined Udinese in 2010 following an impressive loan spell with Ghana giants Asante Kotoko.

Reports suggest that Badu’s agent has already held talks with representatives from Huddersfield concerning a potential move, with a fee now set to be agreed.
