The 18-year-old striker was reported dead in a tragic road accident on Monday

Alaa Abdul Qadir a striker of the Ahli Tripoli was crashed dead in an accident on Monday evening after returning from training.

He was laid to rest on Tuesday in the tomb of Sidi Taher Hussein plateau a day following his death in accordance with Islamic tradition.

The board and management of the have declared 3 days of mourning of the death Of Qadir and also sent their condolence to the deceased family.

“Council of Ahli and club management announced to stop all sporting activities at the club for three consecutive days to mourn the spirit of the late first-team player Alaa Abdul Qadir.

“God accepts the deceased rest in peace and inspired his family and his family and a multitude of patience and fortitude,” the statement reads.

Alaa Abdul Qadir was very instrumental in the Ahli team that beat Hears of Oak 5-0 on aggregate in the 2-match friendly international played at the Tripoli international stadium and even fetched the opening goal of his side’s 2-0 win over the Phobians in the second game.

The 18-year-old striker played his last match for the Libya giants on Christmas Day in an international Club friendly match against Caïman Douala of Cameroon.
