A Somalia bound Jubba flight got overloaded midair when an unexpected passenger joined the flight midair.
The Jubba Airways has confirmed to the BBC that a baby boy was born mid-air on its flight enroute to Somalia.

It said the flight was travelling from Hargeisa, the capital of the self-declared republic of Somaliland, to Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, on Saturday when the event happened.

According to reports, one of the passengers onboard the plane was seven-months pregnant, and a Jubba Airways employee, Kamil Abdiaziz said she started to feel contractions shortly after the took-off.
Somali news website Hiiran.com reported that Kamil Abdiaziz noticed the woman’s suffering and immediately alerted the cabin crew, who together with the trained paramedics on board helped deliver the woman at 32,000ft.

According to Hiiran.com the baby has been named after Kamil Abdiaziz whose help partly resulted in the successful birthing.
It reported that an ambulance was made available to take the mother and the baby to hospital after a safe landing in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu.
