The heads of Senior High Schools (SHS) in the Northern Region say they are likely to delay the reopening of schools in the region over their feeding grants.

The students, according to school authorities, are being fed on credit, a practice which has existed for decades.

SHS in the region are due to open on January 5, 2017 following the Christmas break.

Schools in the three Northern Regions are supported by the government as part of an affirmative action policy to bridge the education gab between the north and the south.
