Chelsea confirm loan deal for Ghanaian player Christian Atsu

Ghanaian player Christian Atsu has completed a loan transfer move from English Premier League club Chelsea to Spanish La Liga side Malaga.

The former FC Porto player who spent last season on loan at Everton joined Premier League new boys AFC Bournemouth for the first half of the season. The Black Stars player for the second half of the 2015/2016 league season will play for Malaga as he continues his development.

The Spanish club confirmed the deal on their official website on Monday:

“Ghanaian-born Christian Atsu is joining Málaga CF from English side, Bournemouth, and signs as a ‘Malaguista’ on loan for the remainder of the season.

Christian Atsu has passed the medical exam, and tomorrow, Tuesday, will join his new teammates in training for the first time at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.  Later, at 1 p.m.,the African left-winger will be officially presented as a Blue and Whites’ playerin La Rosaleda’s Juan Cortés press room.”

Christian Atsu, 24, joined English Premier League Champions Chelsea in 2013. The player is yet to make his first team debut for the Stamford Bridge outfit. Atsu however played for Ghana in the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament and 2015 Africa Cup of Nations where he won the best player.
