Nana Addo’s '1 village 1 dam' will breed mosquitoes - Henry Lartey
Presidential nominee of the GCPP Dr Henry Lartey said Nana Addo is not an agriculturalist and therefore does not know the needs of the Ghanaian farmer.
Speaking on Accra FM Dr Lartey questioned why this policy was not implemented during the eight years governance of former President Kufuor.

He said Nana Akufo Addo is not an agriculturalist and therefore does not know the needs of the Ghanaian farmer. He said the farmer needs other equipment that will enable him to work such as “feeder roads, seeds, and finance to engage in their businesses to produce. These are what they need, not the mosquito-infested dams.”
Addressing a the Bolgatanga Traditional Council during a tour to the Upper East Region, Nana Addo promised to establish a dam in every farming village in order to develop the farming sector.
He said the only way to increase the total land area under cultivation in Ghana from 30,000 out of 14 million hectares of arable land is for the country to develop more irrigation systems.
Meanwhile, the government says it is already implementing Akufo-Addo's campaign pledge in the Northern Region.
