Sekondi Hasaacas sign new sponsorship deal with Mybet.com

Ghana Premier League side Sekondi Hasaacas launched their new partnership with sports betting company Mybet.com on Saturday in Takoradi

The partnership was launched on Saturday at the SSNIT conference room in Takoradi with the sponsorship deal including a renewable clause season by season.

The worth and amount involved in the sponsorship partnership was however not disclosed by both parties as the Ghana Premier League team looks to working with the sports betting company.

Nana Banyin Eyison, CEO of Ghana Premier League club Sekondi Hasaacas told Pulse.com.gh:

“It’s good [the sponsorship deal]. What is important is that it not a one day thing. As I mentioned earlier, it’s taken us about a year and half. We have been in talks and it was not until about a month and a half ago, that we finally consummated it at Golden Tulip in Accra.

“So for my part, I’m very happy. They have a lot and they want both of us to start from humble beginning and we grow together.

“I would not want to dive deep into what is in the package but yes there is a cash component and technical cooperation and it encompasses a whole lot as far as football is concerned.”

General Manager of Mybet.com Ernest Seward also added telling Pulse.com.gh:

“We are going to manage their stadium that is their training ground. We are going to manage their players. We are going to help with the salaries of the players and the technical team as well.

“It is a sponsorship package, a very huge one. We intend doing it season after season. Every seaon comes with its own package.”

Sekondi Hasaacas are rock bottom on the Ghana Premier League table going into Match Day 6.

The Sekondi based club have won just once in the five Premier League games this season, drawn one and lost three with four points from a possible 15.
