On Thursday, June 2, a source close to the club spoke to Pulse.com.gh, revealing that the board of the club would be meeting to decide the trainer's fate.

Kenichi Yatsuhashi took over the reins of Hearts of Oak from the beginning of 2015/2016 season of the Ghana Premier League.

The position of the Japanese-American trainer at the club had come under threat after he had been involved in several disputes with management. The issues ranged from Kenichi's alleged disdain for authority to discussing internal club issues on social media.

Hearts of Oak are 4th after 15 matches with 26 points after the first round of the Ghana Premier League season.

Rumors suggest that Sergio Traguil will take over from Kenichi Yatsuhashi, but there has been no official communication from the club to assert this.

Sergio Traguil was welcomed to the Phobian family recently as a new technical team member. Sergio Daniel Traguil and his assistant Elton Nunes arrived in Ghana on Tuesday June 21 and were allegedly hired by Hearts of Oak to help "develop a strong youth team from which players would be trapped into the first team."
