In a video circulating on social media and observed on 2 April 2026, his younger sister, Faustina Fosu, spoke out against suggestions that the late musician’s remains should be exhumed.

She maintained that it had been her brother’s expressed wish to be laid to rest at his residence in East Legon and urged that his final resting place be respected.

She said;

It was my brother’s wish to be buried there. I don’t want any issues concerning a dead person, so if he made that request and it has been honoured, I see no reason why anyone should go and dig up his body

Faustina also raised concerns about the potential consequences of disturbing his remains, adding

I don’t know what might happen if we exhume his remains. So, I would suggest that if he has a resting place, we should allow him to rest in peace

While firmly expressing her position, she acknowledged that she had not personally witnessed the reading of the late musician’s will. According to her, the family had been informed by his legal representatives that burial at his residence formed part of his final wishes.

She explained;

I heard that he wanted to be buried at his residence. His lawyers were the ones who told us, but I did not witness them reading the will

Her remarks come at a time when debates surrounding the circumstances of Daddy Lumba’s burial have resurfaced, drawing renewed public attention to the handling of his final rites.
