In a statement, the company said the aircraft, which took off at 12:20pm, skidded off the runway just after take-off.
It said the plane was carrying 63 people and 5 crew and was bound for Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
According to the statement, on person sustained minor injuries and was receiving treatment at the clinic.
The statement also announced that an investigation has been launched into the cause of the accident.
"Emergency procedures have since been activated at the airport and investigations to establish the cause of the incident has begun," the statement added.
The statement said operations at the airport are continuing as normal.
