Take advantage of tax cuts - Bawumia urges youth
Dr Bawumia made the call when he addressed the 49th celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed, an event organized annually by the Tijaniyyah Muslims and the entire Muslim community in Ghana.
He stressed the government's commitment to create a business-friendly environment to ensure what he calls "self-enterprise."
"You saw that we abolished VAT on real estate, abolished VAT on airline ticket, we abolished the one percent import levy, so many taxes were abolished and this is to allow businesses to flourish and grow," he said. "I challenge the youth to take advantage of this significant opportunity and venture into entrepreneurship."
