Legon Teaching Hospital 65% complete – Victor Bampoe

The Deputy Minister on Saturday posted aerial shots of the hospital on his Facebook page.

 

The University of Ghana Teaching Hospital is 65% complete. This is according to the Deputy Health Minister, Dr. Victor Bampoe.

He said the 597 bed teaching hospital is scheduled to be completed within 24 months.

The $217 million project is located on a 400 acre land behind the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research of the university.

It is being funded by a loan facility agreement between the Government of Ghana and the Government of Israel.

The hospital is expected to augment the training of about 1,000 doctors within 5 to 7 years.
