Final funeral rites for Kotoko deputy Equipment Officer held in Kumasi
Thomas Asare Obeng, who passed away when Kotoko bus ran into a packed truck was buried in Kumasi on Thursday.
The Porcupine Warriors were hit by a fatal accident on the Nkawkaw-Kumasi Highway after a league game against Inter Allies.
The accident claimed the life of the Asare Obeng and several others on the team bus sustained various degrees of injuries.
The families of the deceased, well-wishers and the Asante Kotoko fraternity gathered at the Heroes Park in Kumasi to pay their final respect to Thomas Asare Obeng as he was laid to rest, before the funeral rite was held on Thursday.
The organisers of the Ghana Premier League and FA Cup had to postpone the impending matches of Kotoko to enable them to go through the recovery process.
They will return to action on 6th August to clear their outstanding league game against Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
