It was established by the police that, the alleged kidnapping and gang rape of the YFM presenter, Adaeze Onyinyechie Ayoka was planned.

According to the police, Miss Ada was mentally unstable, and had hired a syndicate to stage the act.

Her boyfriend, Rahman Nunoo had in an earlier interview raised doubts over the authenticity of the story. According to him, Ada has a history of such kidnapping claims, all of which happened under “doubtful” circumstances, adding that "when you ask her, she becomes furious."

Police subsequently concluded that Ada was suffering from a bi-polar disorder and needs treatment before they could conclude investigations.

But speaking on The Pulse on Multi TV, the popular YFM presenter Princess Ada insisted that she was kidnapped but the police did not grant her a fair hearing.

“I was virtually raped. The police should come back to the public and probably apologise. It is not for me. It is for their own reputation. It is not for me,” she said.

Recounting the incident, she said “I could see people around me I couldn’t really make out. I wasn’t in total control” she said but dismissed suggestions that she was high.

“I am not really somebody who smokes. I am not a smoke person.

"The next thing I saw I was in a car moving from Takoradi to Accra…the next thing I was in the police station then I was in the hospital, then I was handcuffed," she explained.

Princess Adda added that private investigations revealed that she was a victim of sexual violence and has since resigned from her job to treat her bi-polar disorder.
