Ben Ephson attacked at his residence

Ben Ephson says he was attacked by people who hang out at the home of NPP's vice presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to him, a video footage of the crowd made up of youth shows faces of NPP supporters who regularly hang out at the home of NPP vice-presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The Police service has deployed the rapid deployment unit to protect his residence in Kanda. Mr. Ephson was attacked few minutes after the campaign manager of the NPP, Mr. Peter Mac-Manu said in a press conference that the party were leading.

In an interview with Graphic online, he said he had just returned home from a programme on GHOne TV when he received a call congratulating him on predicting the votes of the smaller parties accurately.

He explained that few minutes into receiving the call he saw a car pull up in front of his residence with their headlight on.

The attackers threatened him to come out and started making calls to others to join them. Mr. Ephson said he called the police hotline after he noticed he was in danger and the police team was deployed to save his life.

Mr. Ephson predicted that the candidate of the NDC, President John Dramani Mahama was going to win the elections in eight regions a few days before the December 7elections which didn’t go down with the New Patriotic Party members.
