We will sanction port workers over illegal strike - NLC

The authority will be compelled to sanction persons working on the Tema Port Expansion who embark on another illegal strike.

The National Labour Commission is cautioning port workers who embark on illegal strike action to desist or face sanctions.

This development comes after a previous protest staged by workers at the port which led to a protester being shot.

The Commission said it will not encourage workers to see strike as the first resort in times of labour misunderstanding.
