Bullet severs ties with late Ebony; hands over all unreleased songs to her father

Bullet has been on a collision course with the family of the late Ebony after publicly disagreeing on several issues.

Artiste manager at RuffTown Records, Ricky Nana Agyemang, popularly known as Bullet, has been on a disagreement with the family of the late Ebony after publicly disagreeing on several issues.

However, the fallout between both parties appears to have reached an untenable point after Ebony's father, Mr. Opoku Kwarteng accused Bullet of not treating him well with regards to proceeds from her late daughter's memorial concert.

In an interview with Accra-based Adom FM,  Mr. Kwarteng claimed that Bullet gave him just GHc2000 out of a total GHc39,999 that they made from the organisation of a tribute concert for the late Ebony.

Responding to the claims, the artiste manager described Ebony's father as "greedy", insisting his record label cannot be operated like a charity.

In a related development, RuffTown Records has gone further to break ties with the late dancehall singer, citing her father's actions as the reason.

In a statement released on Bullet's Facebook page, the artiste manager said he countlessly offered financial support to Mr. Kwarteng but he continues to request for more with no appreciations.

The statement said RuffTown Records will no longer release any unreleased song by the late Ebony and have handed all other projects to her father to handle henceforth.

"RuffTown Records wishes to announce to the fans and the general public that the record label is no more interested in releasing unreleased songs of the late Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, professionally known as Ebony Reigns, who is the reigning VGMA Artiste of the Year," sections of the statement read.

It added that "the record label owns 60% royalties of Ebony Reigns' unreleased songs but we are giving away full ownership to her father, Mr. Opoku Kwarteng".
