Search for Miss Malaika 2015 begins

The auditions which starts on Saturday morning, July 25 is expected to draw a bevy of beauties to the venue to showcase not just their beauty but their intelligence.

For the confident, pretty and intelligent young ladies, this may be a golden opportunity to grab the bragging rights of Miss Malaika 2015 when the search for a new queen starts on Saturday, July 25.

This is because organisers of the pageant and reality show holds its first auditions for wanna-be beauty queens at the GH One studios in Accra.

The auditions which starts in the morning is expected to draw a bevy of beauties to the venue to showcase not just their beauty but their intelligence and what they are made of which aptly fits the pageant’s tag line “ beautiful inside out”.

In a statement by the organisers, Charterhouse, apart from the glamour which comes with the crown as Miss Malaika 2015, the winner will also walk home with a car, a cash prize and a scholarship from Abeam Institute Scholarship.

“Interested persons can log on to www.missmalaikaghana.com to register or walk boldly to GhOne Entertainment TV Studios.

“ Interested persons upload their pictures and their names with #malaika2015 to Miss Malaika Ghana on Facebook and Twitter and Instagram on @missmalaikagh,” the statement said.

This year’s show has new additions with the change of judges as well as other contestants grabbing various awards in various segments such as the ‘Best Smile’, ‘Most Intelligent Girl’, ‘Most Inspiring Girl’, ‘Most Talented Girl’ and ‘Girl With The Best Walk’.

Since 2003, the  Miss Malaika beauty pageant has served as a platform to groom talented young ladies. Some of the known faces who have passed through the Malaika platform are artiste and model, Deborah Vannessah, and actress, Christabel Ekeh.

Last year, the pageant was won by Ms Eirene Nsudoom Binabina, 19, a University of Ghana student. Some of the past winners are  Thelma Tawiah (2003), Melissa Mensah (2004), Patricia Akuamoah ( 2005) and  Hamamat Montia (2006).

The rest are Laurie Naa Lamiley Lawson (2007), Tamara Aku Dzormeku (2008), Gezelle Addae (2009), Ama Nettey (2010), Geraldine Partington (2011), Bridget Sharon Cofie (2012) and Naa Oyoe Quartey (2013).

Miss Malaika 2015 is a GhOne Entertainment TV production, supported by Charterhouse with Vaseline, Rexona, Optimal, Abeam Institute of Technology, Glam Make up, Novelle Beauty College, Sultana as sponsors and GTP, Chase, Koko king, Shakes and Flavors as donors.
