She said most Ghanaian directors lack the extra skills to push their craft onto the next level.
According to her the motivation for directors in the industry is to make profit and not creating quality content hence the half-baked movies we see in the industry.
The actress famous for “Obra” noted that for Ghanaian movies to compete on the international stage, hard work and professional training was required for movie directors and producers.
She further stated that when she gave such comments, directors took offence to it.
“These so called movie directors need a serious workshop before our movie industry will be recognized in the foreign countries and even Ghana here, when I talk to them about it, they get angry but that is the whole truth," the veteran actress noted.
She also called on government to sink their teeth into the movie industry so as to improve upon it.
