“I will win the ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ award” - Patience Nyarko

Gospel musician, Patience Nyarko, says he chances of winning the "Gospel Song of the Year" at this year's VGMA is clear.

Patience, who got two nominations, thinks she will easily scoop the “Gospel Song of the Year” award with no doubt.

She made this statement during an exclusive interview with Pulse.com.gh at the launch of her 9-track VCD album titled “Wafom Kwan” over the weekend.

“I got two nominations this year and I strongly believe I will sweep away the ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ award. I will win easily,” she stated.

When asked about the strong competition from her counterparts in the respective categories, the “Wafom Kwan” hit maker said they are no match to her.

“Obaapa Christy is not a match. Even DSP Kofi Sarpong and Nicholas Omane Acheampong have given up so that I can win,” she concluded.

Patience Nyarko’s“Wafom Kwan” was nominated for the “Best Gospel Song of the Year” award alongside SP Kofi Sarpong’s“Hour By Hour” featuring Joyce Blessing, Kofi Gyan’s“Yoboyo”,Mary Owusu’s“W'ow Nkwa Wo Wor Ade”, Obaapa Christy’s“Hyebre Sesafo” and Nicholas Omane Acheapong’s “Aporsor”.

She will also face Obaapa Christy, Nicholas Omane Achemapong, Joe Mettle, SP Kofi Sarpong and Preachers for the “Gospel Artiste of the Year” glory.
