The app that can show you how many people have died in your house

The app can also take a step further and give you details of previous happenings in your house – if it used to be a meth lab and if there have been fires.

The app will help you find out what the US police know about your home.

DiedInHouse is a weird app that gives users the rundown on every kind of demise that might have taken place in a certain house that a user is about to purchase or rent.

This piece of information harvesting technology does not just stop at recording murder, suicide or deaths by natural causes, it also gives the user a fairly comprehensive backstory.

You could find out things like if a gangster died in a shootout with the police or if a 19th century celebrity committed suicide in your place of abode.

The app can also take a step further and give you details of previous happenings in your house – if it used to be a meth lab, if there have been fires, or if there are any dodgy characters linked to your property.

The app is only available in the United States – like you would expect – and is limited to information available on public record.

There are various examples of searches on the site one of which is a search on 171, Lake Washington Blvd, Seattle, the home of late troubled American star, Kurt Cobain, and it reads: "Kurt Cobain was an American musician and artist, best known as the lead singer, guitarist and primary songwriter for the band Nirvana."

"On April 8, 1994, Cobain was found dead at his home in Seattle, the victim of what was officially ruled as a suicide by self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head."

I wonder how this app would be put to use here in Nigeria, assuming we have a comprehensive database of course.
