Two women have been left with identical scars across their foreheads, and no one is quite sure how they got them.
Joanne Baker and Gayle Smart were on a night out in Newcastle when they believe someone bashed their heads together.
Police have said they are confident no crime took place however, leaving the two mothers puzzled as to how they received the injuries.
Joanne, 31, said: âIâm going to be scarred for life. I just canât believe all this has happened just from going to a bar. It just doesnât make sense.â
Both woman were taken to hospital and had to have stitches after receiving their injuries.
âAs far as I can remember I was just outside having a cigarette and our heads were just smashed together,â said Gayle, 37.
After realising their both had deep cuts on their heads the women ran into a nearby Greggs for some tissues to stem the bleeding before paramedics arrived.
Despite the women both being scared for life, police maintain not crime was committed, and a Northumbria Police spokeswoman said âadvice had been given to both partiesâ.
