           Method

    • Sift the flour and salt.
    • Rub in margarine and add sugar.
    • Combine all ingredients to form a smooth paste
    • Roll carefully on a floured table until the paste is 1cm/½in thick.
    • Place it on lightly greased baking sheet.
    • Mark into desirable sizes and shapes and prick with fork.
    • Sprinkle with caster sugar and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
    • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until pale golden-brown. Set aside to cool on a wire rack.
