Rwanda President, Paul Kagame says, he agrees with Tanzanian President, John Magufuli who ordered restrictions on foreign travel for government officials soon after taking office.
Addressing the country at an annual National Leadership Retreat in the eastern city of Gabiro, Mr. Kagame said that there has been waste of time and resources, especially through unnecessary foreign travels for officials.
He disclosed several ministers are always absent from cabinet meetings due to foreign trips, which must be stopped.
Mr. Kagame revealed that, he agrees with his Tanzanian counterpart, John Magufuli who enforced restrictions on foreign travel for government officials soon after taking office.
With the attendance of about 250 leaders and officials, the three-day meeting was expected to discuss the country's social reforms and development programs in the coming years.
