The idea behind KukuSama was to create a game that’s easy to play and yet challenging enough to keep the player intrigued.

KukuSama is a side scrolling mobile game about a chicken (KukuSama) trying to avoid obstacles throughout. Players control KukuSama by trying to fly him between rows of forks and a hot grill beneath. The objective is to keep the chicken from being poked by the forks or falling into the grill.
“This is a much more basic game compared to our first release Nairobi X, we aim at having games that appeal to both mass and niche markets. We already have Nairobi X, niche game that appealed to the tech savvy and avid gamers. Kuku Sama is for every Kenyan,” says Joe Koteng, Black Division’s head of strategy.
The idea behind KukuSama was to create a game that’s easy to play and yet challenging enough to keep the player intrigued. The title Kuku Sama is borrowed from Kenya’s street lingo, a common term used to refer to the popular deep fried chicken found at most fast food joints and urban eateries.
Kukusama is available in most telecommunication game portals across Africa including MTN game store. Watch a video of the gameplay below:
