Tyler Oakley Sees This Team as Competition on TAR

This exact scenario happened to Tyler Oakley. The YouTuber and LGBTQ+ activist is competing on the current season of The Amazing Race, and he told Men's Health that none of the contestants knew what the theme of the season before they got to the starting line. The teams starting sizing each other up pretty quickly, and Oakley was no exception.

Oakley immediately pointed out two teams that he knew would be great competitors.

"The team that we thought was definitely the strongest to compete against were the Afghanimals [Leo and Jamal]," he said. "We had witnessed them the first two times they ran the Race and they had such a thirst and a desire to make it to the finale."

Oakley continued, "The very first season I ever watched of Amazing Race was season five, and so to see Colin and Christie, I knew that they were beasts. I knew that they had won so many legs the first time around, and to see their new energy that they were bringing to the season, I was like, 'Okay, not only do they have the ability, but now they have the mindset to take them all the way.' I definitely thought that they were tough competition."

However, Keoghan previously said that he thinks that Oakley and Kuhl are going to win this season of Amazing Race. He told TV Guide , "There was something about them at the starting line...they were very quiet. In fact, I even called Tyler out for being very very quiet. He was in the best shape I'd ever seen him, his guns were bulging. And he just looked like he meant business."
