That's what happened yesterday (on Easter, no less!) when Dr. Pimple Popper shared a video of a cyst removal that, tbh, looked like pulling an egg out of someone's shoulder. "Happy Easter, DPP style," she captioned the video. "Watch my Easter special on my YouTube channel now!"
Yep, you heard her right: "Easter special."
The video starts off with the person's shoulder already cut open, and Dr. Pimple Popper trying to free the cyst with scissors and tweezers. (FYI: The Instagram video and YouTube video both appear to be sped-up.) After some cutting and pulling, Dr. Pimple Popper finally frees the cyst, leaving a gaping hole in the patient's shoulder.
The Instagram video cuts off as soon as Dr. Pimple Popper removes the large cyst-but the YouTube video shows the rest of the scene: Dr. Pimple Popper actually cutting open the Easter egg cyst. Theres our little friend here, she says, while touching the eyeball/cyst.
"It looks like a rock," Dr. Pimple Popper says as she slices into the cyst, saying she thinks the cyst's contents will be darker. "It's gonna be darker keratin content," she says (yes, cysts are made up of keratin, the same stuff found in skin and hair). Dr. Pimple Popper explains: "This is all skin that's been tucked under there for 15 years...that's all skin contents in there."
Dr. Pimple Popper even ended up squeezing the heck out of the cyst outside of the person's body. It was cute before. Now its not so cute, she says.
Um, apparently we have different definitions of the word "cute."
