Nigerian forward voted CSKA Moscow's 2nd best player in August

The forward was second in a poll behind Igor Akinfeev and ahead of Aleksey Berezutskiy
 
 

Nigerian forward Ahmed Musa has been voted the second best player of his Russian club side in the month of August.

In a poll by CSKA Moscow fans on the club's official website, Musa finished behind goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, who pulled 28 per cent of the vote.

The third best player for the month of August honours went to Aleksey Berezutskiy.

Musa played eight games for CSKA in August, scoring five goals.

It has been a month to remember for the forward who welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday, August 4.

Musa was not present when his second child arrived as he was on club duties with CSKA Moscow in the Czech Republic for their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round fixture against Sparta Prague.

The 22-year-old took to his Instagram acount to announce the good news.

The new baby has been named Jamila, an Arabic name that means beautiful.

Musa's first child, a boy was born in 2013.

He also captained the Super Eagles in their 0-0 draw against Tanzania in the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers played last weeked.
