Bayern Munich fans to boycott UCL game over high ticket prices

Ahead of the UEFA Champions League game next week, Bayern Munich fans are threatening to boycott the first five minutes of the fixture against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

A supporters' group called FC Bayern Worldwide are protesting  what the call 'impossible' ticket costs.

The group is furious that they are going to pay £64 for the cheapest ticket of the game while a Bayern Munich season ticket costs just £104.

"We will not enter the away sector for the first five minutes of the game Arsenal FC against FC Bayern München on the 20th of October 2015," the group said in a statement posted on their Facebook page.

"This kind of a price structure makes a stadium visit impossible for younger and socially disadvantaged fans. It destroys fan culture, which is the basis of football. In England, this development has already taken place,"
