Australia have drafted in Usman Khawaja and Cameron Bancroft for the third and final Twenty20 international against India as cover for Aaron Finch and Matthew Wade.
Khawaja, Bancroft called in Australia T20 squad
Usman Khawaja and Cameron Bancroft may get a chance in Australia's third T20 against India on Sunday having been called into the squad.
Khawaja, who is uncapped in T20 cricket, missed out on the original squad despite making 345 runs in just four matches in Sydney Thunder's Big Bash League success.
He comes in for captain Finch, who injured himself batting in Australia's 27-run defeat in the second T20I on Friday that left them trailing by an unassailable 2-0 deficit.
Finch made 74 as Australia posted 157-8 in reply to India's 184-3, but is ruled out of Sunday's final encounter with a hamstring problem.
"It is hugely frustrating to suffer this injury," Finch said.
"I am hoping it will not keep me out for a lengthy period of time, especially with an ICC World Twenty20 on the horizon, but I will be guided by the specialists."
Bancroft is also hoping to make his T20 debut and comes into the squad as fellow wicketkeeper Wade is set to travel to New Zealand for the three-match one-day international series, which starts on Wednesday.
