Some old men and women Wednesday morning took to the streets in Kumasi to demonstrate over harsh economic conditions in Ghana.

Numbering about 100, dressed in red and black attire, walked from the Cultural Centre in Bantama through Pampaso, Prisons Roundabout, Melcom Road, Aseda House, Asafo interchange, Labour Roundabout and headed towards the Abbeys Park at Ashanti New Town.
The demonstrators said they are finding it difficult to live with ‘dumsor’ – the blackout - and want President John Mahama to address it as soon as possible.
“We are dying. This is too much. We can’t endure it again,” one of the demonstrators said.

They explained they were demonstrating against the high cost of living, corruption, the power outages currently being experienced in the country, the collapse of businesses and the hike in fuel prices.
They threatened to strip naked and march to Flagstaff House in Accra if the hardship persist.
