The video streaming giant-Youtube, one of the many platforms owned by Google has been under pressure to release the number of subscribers on its platform.
Last month the Wall Street Journal reported that YouTube was only just breaking even. Youtube on its part is unwilling to release the exact figures.
YouTube has dominated the online video streaming space in a way that few businesses manage to dominate anything on the Web. Today, it boasts more than a billion users, who constantly upload more than 300 hours of video every minute and generating billions of views every single day.
Youtube’s web engineers say that the first video posted on the video platform since 2005 when they started, is still online.
