15 year-old boy fails to hack into school network, sets computer lab on fire

Apparently he was furious after his several failed attempts to compromise the school’s network system.

After trying unsuccessfully to hack into his school's computer system to change his grade on a test he failed, a young boy angrily opted to set fire on his school’s computer lab.

The 15 year-old Georgia high school student, confessed to the police, when he was caught.

He has since been charged with several offences, including burglary and arson. Apparently he was furious after his several failed attempts to compromise the school’s network system.

A representative of the Douglas County Sheriff's Department, Lt. Glenn Daniel said: "It's very sad and tragic. He could have very easily come to one of his counsellors and asked for help."

He added that the offence is a grievous one, and the young boy, could be jailed for several years.
