FIFA orders TP Mazembe to pay $12,000 to Liberty Professionals

TP Mazembe has been ordered to pay $12,000 as training and development fee to Liberty Professionals for the signing of Richard Kissie Boateng.

Kissie Boateng started his professional football career at Liberty Professionals, before he had short spell with Al Ittihad Tripoli and afterwards joined Berekum Chelsea to help them win the Ghana Premier League and the reach the group stage of the CAF Champions League, which was the last time a Ghanaian club did so.

His performance caught the attention of TP Mazembe, who secured the player’s signature after the CAF Champions League campaign.

However, TP Mazembe did pay any amount to Liberty Professionals as training and development fee and after reporting the matter to FIFA, they have been instructed to pay $12,000 to the Scientific Soccer lads.

“Yes, I have forwarded the letter to the Congolese FA which is to be given to TP Mazembe on the decision by FIFA.”

“The money is about $12,000 and it must be paid as soon as possible. This was stated in the player’s clause before who moved to TP Mazembe,” In an interview with Peace FM, Ghanaian rep of TP Mazembe, Oduro Sarfo confirmed.
